| Regent Hotel - Esplanade, Oban, Argyll and Bute, PA34 5PZ |
| |
The Regent Hotel is prominently situated at the head of Oban's north pier and is close to the shopping centre. It is also ideal for those who wish to take a steamer cruise or ferry to one of the many islands. The Regent, externally, is a combination of a Victorian private hotel with an almost perfect example of 1930's Art Deco design. Internally both buildings merge to provide an open and airy ambience with an array of well positioned public foyers and lounges. As a town centre hotel the Regent cannot offer private parking although there is ample on-street parking on the adjacent pier. This 'disadvantage' does however mean that Oban's many shops, the distillery, the ferry terminals and stations are all within easy walking distance. |
